About Zublja:

Both his name and the first word of the country’s name have the same meaning, black. Together they survived the ages, they are the bearers of great battles won, known for their honor and honesty and even more famous for their bravery and heroism. They are inseparable forever, even though many want to make Vranac their own. Thanks to its proven parents, Kratošija and Duljenga, the end was put, and a giant was born, eager for fame and recognition. Given that it was a witness to countless meetings and big, mostly difficult decisions and then many big victories and celebrations, it can be said that Vranac is an integral part of the DNA of all of us who live in Montenegro. Even today, it is Vranac who sovereignly rules the vineyards of our country.

Details about wine:

Vranac in accordance with the time. This wine is an expression of a new (old) direction characterized by a somewhat modest amount of alcohol, but accompanied by all the characteristics of great wines. That’s why with this wine we have a pronounced complexity on the nose in the form of an abundance of ripe fruit aromas, enriched by the aromas obtained by aging in oak barrels, and all this accompanied by the wild unbridled energy of Vranac. On the palate, you can still feel that licentiousness and need for freedom, which are trying to calm down the delicious fruit tones of dark berries and dark cherries with an additional layer of dark chocolate and smoke. So that everything is not so strong, gentle tannins and sensitive acids, which clearly speak of the potential for additional aging in the bottle for more than a decade, have taken care of it. We give our word, even a signature, and only wine with its extremely intense and dark color, can serve as ink.

The story behind the wine

When you are in the “wrong” place, when you are always on the borderline, constantly between several fires, then there is always a charge in the air, electricity… It was said before – it smells like war. And trained noses were able to smell war. That’s how it is in the Balkans, in Montenegro… But… Some nuts are just hard to crack. As with wine, so with man – WHO YOU BELONG TO is of crucial importance because blood is thicker than the water, and the roots go deep. Are you of the right kind to gird yourself with a saber, or to ride a horse with a saber, or to have a saber in one hand, a TORCH (Zublja) in the other, and a horse underneath you? Are you one of those great men and heroes that the world hears about, and you only travel by the word of the witnesses of eternal truth? I am the ever burning TORCH that neither burned out nor lost its any of its light.

Interesting facts:

Wines of the Vranac variety are the absolute pride of all winemakers in Montenegro, there is not even a single winery that does not make Vranac. Why do both winemakers and consumers love it so much? Simply because we all grew up with it, practically we didn’t know anything else in the past, before globalization. We all know it as black wine, and it’s clear why immediately when we look at the glass – we wonder how to call it red? Why don’t we recognize most imported wines of medium quality or even top quality? Simply because we grew with an abnormal amount of extract, an abundance of tannins, and too often a relatively high amount of residual sugar despite the alcohol of over 15% and even 17%. We are used to the essence of wine, the core, to what only experienced people can drink because such wines repel the average palate. Of course, when you grow up with this, then white wines seem like a refreshing juice for working in the vineyard at 35+ degrees, and the vast majority of reds fall into the category – “neither wine, nor water”.

About the bottle:

A bottle that found inspiration in ancient Greek mythology and clearly reflects the aspiration towards Divinity, sublimity, perfection… Its name is “Hermes” and it is characterized by classic beauty and elegance. This Bordelaise/Bordeaux model is in the group of the highest quality bottles in the world (serial production) and at its manufacturer Saverglass it is in the Extra Premium category.
The weight of the bottle, which is 1000g, also speaks of its quality. Flawless and uncompromising, just like wine!

About the cork:

One of the biggest problems of winemaking today and of great importance for us. Anyone who has bought and kept a bottle for a special occasion and after opening it came across spoiled wine, knows what it’s all about.

Along with guaranteeing the health of the wine, the optimal course of wine ripening through the guaranteed amount of oxygen transfer is also of great importance. Considering that Vranac has the best potential in the period of 5 to 10 years of maturity, our choice is Diam 10, dimensions 47mm.
